This is my vegan guide for the beginning of the year 2022, as part of the Austin Food Blogger’s Alliance AFBA City Guide 2022. #ATXBESTEATS It includes both completely vegan establishments and also places that have a fabulous vegan option I have enjoyed. With the growth of flexitarians and people trying to eat more sustainably, it’s great to see more restaurants carry a plant-based vegan option besides the now common Beyond Burger.
NOW UPDATED: December 2022 – I have noted the businesses that closed this year! It makes me sad that we lost so many. Wishing all the people involved the best! Even I’m closing shop here in Austin for 2023! I still miss you Veggie Heaven!

You’ll never get the vegan cheese upcharge here. (I hate that!) Lots of different combos and no accidental sausage on your pizza. If you don’t eat meat, you know what I’m talking about!
With pizza, the chances for cross-contamination with similar looking substances is real.

I’ve been here for a couple birthdays and special meals with family. I always get the vegan pizza that varies with the season. In the fall, that butternut squash with almond ricotta really puts me in a happy place!

I’m disappointed that Vegg does actually provide vegetarian options (listed on website).
