Schisandra Rose Latte

A warm, pink adaptogenic drink

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 tsp schisandra powder
  • 1 tsp rose powder
  • 3/4 cup hot water 200 degrees F
  • 1/2 cup hemp milk, unsweetened or other non-dairy milk
  • 2 tsp sweetener, raw honey
  • Peony flowers or rose petals for garnishing

Equipment

  • tea kettle
  • whisk

Method
 

  1. Heat water to 200F, below boiling point.
  2. Place schisandra and rose powder in a large mug or thick glass that can hold 16 oz
  3. Add hot water and whisk
  4. Add sweetener and dissolve
  5. Add hemp milk

Notes

You can make it completely vegan and without honey. Use your favorite sweetener to taste.  I like Monk Drops and find 6-10 drops is great.
I like to use Anima Mundi Schisandra and Rose powders.
The Rose powder is organic comes in an amber glass jar with old school apothecary label.  A beautiful color as well.
My Zulay whisk does a great job and I also use it when I make other kinds of lattes.  Easy to clean and looks great on the counter with all of our hot beverage implements.
Peony flowers or rose petals make a beautiful garnish.  Sprinkle on liberally!
