Have all of your ingredients nearby and be ready to measure.Place saucepan on the stove on medium-high heat. Add oil and then the flour. Stir the flour until it is no longer raw.
Add tahini and stir. Add the nutritional yeast.
Then add the tamari. The mixture will sputter and then thicken.
Add 1/4 cup of water and stir with the whisk, breaking up any lumps and making a smooth paste.
You can lower the heat. Continue to stir and add 1/4 cup of water at a time until you have the thickness of gravy you like.
The gravy will thicken as it cools.
